Here at Katharine House Hospice, our aim is to enable our patients and those close to them to live life as fully as possible and make the most of the time that they have. We offer a welcoming, warm and safe environment, where hope is kept alive and laughter is often heard.
Our services offer holistic care and support for people with incurable illnesses and their families. We can help from day one of a diagnosis.
We support people with a range of diagnoses including, but not limited to:
- respiratory failure
- heart failure
- renal failure
- neurological conditions (MS, MND, PSP, Parkinson’s)
- cancer and other incurable illnesses.
From our wellbeing services and our 8-bed In-Patient Unit, to care “At Home”, carer support and the outpatient clinics, our aim is to enable patients to live their lives as fully and as comfortably as possible whilst providing support to their families/carers.
All of our services are offered free of charge. We are a charity and we rely on the kindness and generosity of the local community to help generate 2/3rds of the funds needed (almost £4m each year) to continue our care.
