We are looking for expressions of interest from an established palliative medicine consultant who will work collaboratively alongside the current specialist palliative care teams within the University Hospitals of North Midlands and Katharine House Hospice, Stafford over 4 sessions per week. This consultant will work alongside 5 consultant colleagues within North and South Staffordshire within the post which will be partly funded by Katharine House Hospice.

Responsibilities will include clinical care of patients with non-malignant conditions within County Hospital alongside the inpatient teams, and input into the ambulatory heart failure service, based within the hospital. Candidates are expected to have a high level of clinical competence, excellent communications and organisational skills. Experience of education is essential, as part of the role will involve teaching and training of senior medical and nursing staff. The post holder will be able to develop this service and other specialist areas of interest.
