Congratulations 10k hospice heroes

12 runners braved torrential conditions at Stafford’s 10k on Sunday, 22 September to raise funds for the charity. 

The impressive team was made up of six supporters from the community and six staff from the hospice’s Finance, HR, Fundraising and Care teams. 

Together they battled extreme rain to complete the course and raise nearly £2,000.

Every penny will help to fund the hospice’s specialist care services and ensure more local people will receive expert care when they need it most.

Despite the rain, a huge number of supporters turned out to cheer all the runners on.

Head of Fundraising, Hannah Fahy, who also completed the run said:

 “What a team! I was so impressed with how everyone powered through the rain and showed incredible determination. Finishing a 10k is impressive, but doing it in those conditions was truly remarkable. It was amazing to be flying the flag for Katharine House Hospice!”
