Mike, a Stafford man educated at Walton High School, was CEO of Stafford Railway Building Society for 5 years until retiring in October 2022, having previously served the Society as a Non-Executive Director for 8 years. An Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, he is an experienced corporate and retail banker having held senior leadership positions in Barclays Bank and Handelsbanken. He has over 40 years of knowledge and experience in strategic delivery, treasury, operations, risk, change, sales management, IT and key infrastructure projects, providing considerable board and governance experience.
