Steve Kirwan is Managing Director at Nowell Meller Solicitors based in Stafford, Newcastle and Alsager. He qualified as a solicitor in 1988 and brings a wide and varied legal background to the board. His experience and knowledge of charity, corporate, and property law are of particular assistance. Steve is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Finance and Management, and his current responsibilities include financial and risk management for his practice as well as their IT strategy, client care, and quality assurance systems.

As one of the first solicitors to qualify as a Collaborative Family Lawyer, Steve served on the National Committee of Resolution, a community of 6,500 family justice professionals who work with families and individuals to resolve issues in a constructive way and promote reform of family law. As well as being their treasurer, he was chair of the Cohabitation Committee and an active campaigner for change.
