We deeply appreciate the generous support of trusts, foundations and grant givers who help fund our vital services. Your contributions enable us to continuously improve patient care, invest in essential equipment and sustain our operations. Without your generosity, we simply couldn’t provide this level of care and support to local people and those close to them.
Why support Katharine House Hospice?
We provide compassionate care for people facing complex, progressive illnesses. Our support extends from diagnosis through to end of life, ensuring patients and their loved ones receive the best possible care and support. Whether you can offer a one-off grant or a multi-year commitment, your grant will make a huge difference.
Our promise to you
We value transparency and accountability. Every grant we are lucky enough to receive is used as agreed, ensuring the greatest impact for our patients and their families and in line with each funders’ wishes. We keep our funders informed through bespoke communication and updates, demonstrating the difference their generosity has.
Our impact
In 2024, we provided care to more patients and families than ever before—supporting 1,881 patients and families, a 23% increase on the previous year. This included a:
- 50% rise in respite care visits
- 20% increase in Inpatient Unit (IPU) admissions
With your support, we can continue expanding our services to help even more people in our community.
How your support helps
Rising costs have made fundraising more challenging, while the demand for our services continues to grow. Unrestricted core funding allows us to sustain and develop our care, while grants also help fund specific projects.
A grant could help us:
- invest in essential capital projects – building improvements and medical equipment
- provide patient equipment – ensuring comfort and dignity in care
- support staff development – training our teams to deliver the highest standard of care and customer service
- fund core services – maintaining and expanding our vital services for patients and families.
