Allison has over twenty years’ clinical and managerial experience working in the NHS. She has worked in hospitals, community services, commissioning, education and research. A registered nurse, Allison is currently an Operational Manager of Health and Social Care teams and also allied health professionals.
Having trained and worked in Leeds in the early nineties, the majority of her experience since has been locally in Staffordshire. Clinical positions held include District Nursing Sister, Community Practice Educator and Matron. Allison is passionate about ensuring high quality care and improving the patient experience.
Whilst Head of Commissioning, her responsibilities included lead for community services, cancer, end of life care and dementia. She has experience in developing and delivering strategies and service models, together with reviewing the quality and effectiveness of services.
Allison has a keen interest in care closer to home and was the project lead for the redesign of a community intermediate care service in 2013. She led the design of a service which delivers intravenous therapies in the community for palliative care patients and also commissioned a mobile breast screening service.
