Role Group: Executive Team
Chief Executive
I became General Manager and then Chief Executive of Katharine House Hospice in January 1999.
I took my first degree in Economics and then undertook a PhD in the use of information in decision-making within the NHS whilst working first for the NHS and then for a small, niche healthcare consultancy group. I then worked as an Independent Consultant before taking up employment as the Centre and Service Development Manager at the David Lewis Centre for Epilepsy in Cheshire.
I have a passion for the voluntary sector, and have undertaken trustee roles for a range of organisations over the last 15 years, including Stafford District Voluntary Services, Stafford and District Bereavement and Loss Support Service, Support Staffordshire, and Stafford Furniture Exchange. I have also been a member of the Rotary Club of Stafford since 1999.
