Exciting news… Alison’s Story is a finalist in a national competition to help raise awareness – and it’s all thanks to you!

When Alison was diagnosed with an incurable illness, she didn’t know where to get help, then she received support from Katharine House Hospice.

Our charity has now been supporting Alison in a variety of ways for many years.

Alison didn’t want others to feel how she did when she was first diagnosed and wanted to help spread the word of how we support people with a variety of illnesses, not only cancer.

After brainstorming ideas, Alison worked with us co-producing the two-minute animation and providing the voiceover.

Now her story is a finalist in the Smiley Charity Film Awards! Out of 570 entries, we’re over the moon to be one of the 270 chosen.

The awards – known as the Oscars of the charity world – launched seven years ago and showcase the very best in charity film work throughout the UK.

Our animation will now go forward to the judging panel along with the 19 other finalists in the category. Winners will be announced on International Day of Happiness, Friday, 20 March.

A very big thank you to everyone who voted for us. You’ve helped raise awareness of the vital work we do so we can help more families when they need us.

We wouldn’t be here without your support, thank you.
